The Maison Dupuy Hotel was an absolutely stunning back drop for Catheriya and Michael’s wedding. The brick and wood work set off the beautiful colors of gold, navy blue and soft pink. The fresh floral arrangements, done by Arbor House where the perfect splash of color amidst the beautiful courtyard and decorated the reception beautifully. Of course no wedding really goes off so beautifully without an amazing planner, Down Annie Lane did an amazing job bringing the couples dreams to life with touches of Mardi Gras throughout the day.
I first met Catheriya and Michael at their engagement session which I had the joy of shooting at Race & Religion. It was a fun, stunning session, sprinkled with rain and full of gorgeousness. You can check out that session at this link, Catheriya & Micheal.
Catheriya wore a gorgeous gold traditional gown from Leela Rose Moda in Bangkok. It was a beautiful way to bring her heritage and traditions of her background into the wedding. Matching the bridesmaids in soft pink dresses made for a gorgeous bridal party to be sure. Kiss and Makeup did an amazing job on the bridal party’s hair and make-up. The groom and groomsmen wore navy blue suits with pink and navy striped ties. I loved this crew, they were up for anything and kept me laughing.
We found a sweet location in a small area in the back of the hotel with some bamboo to do the first look, a first look that totally took my breath away. The love between Catheriya and Michael is so visible that it felt like the most perfect serene moment I have had the joy of being a part of.
I will say I do love a great New Orleans wedding with a vibe of tradition and the fun of a second line. The Kinfolks 2nd Line band led the wedding guest and party on a fun second line and everyone joined right into this amazing New Orleans tradition waving their white handkerchiefs in the air and dancing along the French Quarter route. Hadel’s Bakery designed the bridal cake and the grooms King cake which were both so beautiful.
Catheriya & Micheal,
It’s in the joy that exist between you both. The love that is clearly there to see and the respect you show each other. I love couples such as you, where I can see you in many years still happy and together, laughing and peaceful. May you always be blessed and may your adventures together reach far and wide.
