I have found time and again that life send people who reflect your vibe into your path. Yet again, it has proven true in this sweet couple.
When Kendra messaged me about their elopement, I was ecstatic. I love capturing smaller weddings & elopements, as much as I love the big ones. We met that day, about five minutes before I took the first images, but that is how it happens a lot when so many of your clients are out of state.
I had never had the honor of photographing a ceremony at the French Quarter Chapel, so for me, it was an amazing new adventure. Boy was I so not disappointed. It may be unassuming on the outside, but what an amazing place. The details and thoughtfulness they put into the ceremonies and couples was just the cherry on top!
We took a slow stroll from the hotel around the French Quarter, and to the French Quarter Chapel. We laughed, they kissed, and we found little hidden gems while capturing moments of beauty.
In the beautiful little French Quarter Chapel, they promised the rest of their lives, under the thousands of dollars with names and promises hanging from the rafters of those who had come before to say their vows of love.
Richard’s “allergies” go to his eyes in the middle of it all and the joy rolling off of her was as pure as any love I have ever had the honor of witnessing. A harpist played soft melodies while the sweet beauty and vibe of the moment swept us all along.
They adopted Q for the day so he could be a witness for the signing of their license, which of course cemented them as some of my favorites naturally!
Congratulations again, Mr. & Mrs. O’Brien!!! Thank you for allowing me to enjoy the day with you both. For being so down to Earth and amazing. For reminding me again how amazing it is, this job I get the honor of having.
May the passion of life always guide you, may joy always flow free, may the love between you grow daily, and may you never stop being young at heart together!
