Max. He has held her heart for so many years. It started to seem like he was just a part of the family and held his little part of every family get together. He has been her strength through weak times, makes her laugh when she is frustrated, and has held her hand through some of the toughest time of her life. He is her love and because of that, we her family, loved him, and welcomed him into the family years ago, but now it is officially, official.

When Helen ask me to capture her wedding, I didn’t hesitate to say yes. It was my honor and joy to capture her beautiful day, both for my love of her and for the memory of her mom, our sweet Aunt Darlene. When she lost her battle with cancer, I think it broke the hearts of all who had ever met her, such a beautiful strong heart, that loved those around her, no matter what. There were so many special moments during the day that honored her, from the special note that Helen’s sister, Nancy, framed and surprised her with that her mom had written years ago, to the candle they lit in remembrance.

There was honor, remembrance, love, and the sight of new beginnings weaved through out this day and I was honored to both be a part and capture it behind my lens.

I wish you both the best from the bottom of my heart. Helen, I am in awe of the sweet beautiful young woman you have become, I am so proud of you, your strength, and your never giving in when life got tough. Max, I know you will take good care of her. I hope that you always cherish her like the finest of crystal ever made and that you are always strong enough to hold her through life’s low times and laugh with her through the joyous ones. May God always bless you both and all of our hearts are with you as you move into this new path of life. May you always, always, smile and laugh like you haven’t a care in the world.
