Bayou Haven is a gorgeous wedding venue in Alexandria Louisiana. It is nestled amongst the trees with a stunning pond, beautiful wood beams, wood walls and floors in the reception hall create a soft golden feel.  Stunning windows and old-school church-styled pews give the ceremony space a loving feel and creates a sweet space for saying “I Do.”

Alexis and Gavin met in elementary, 3^rd grade to be exact. They were in many of the same classes but Alexis thought he was just this little loud annoying boy. Isn’t it always the case in stories such as these? The years pass and it wasn’t until junior year of high school when they came to the mutual realization that they get along really well.

Alexis and Gavin are so cute! Always smiling, laughing and having a great time. It’s been so much fun getting to know them as we walked through their many memories of their senior year in high school together. How special was it that their senior prom was their first date!!!

As a couple, they love to explore and be outside. Alexis and Gavin are always trying new things and doing things together like floating down the river or going on road trips. So, when Gavin decided to propose while they were in New Orleans, it was the perfect place for him to pop the question. He took her to City Park. He led Alexis down onto a wooden dock that floated out over the water and popped the question as she looked out into the vast horizon before her.

Alexis and Gavin wanted to get married in a location that was elegant, simple, and beautiful. They chose The Bayou Haven because it is all of those things. The day was amazing!!! From menu provided by The Warrior Maines, to the beautiful setting overlooking the water. Most importantly they have air conditioner… which makes staying cool important on a hot summer day like this!

What can I say about you both that everyone who loves you does not already know! You are such an amazing couple. I love the way you both love. It is a beautiful thing to witness in this day and age. I pray you are both always blessed, always joyful, and always secede at whatever you endeavor to accomplish. Above all, leave love in your wake where ever life may lead you.
