It was a beautiful day in Baton Rouge, sunny and bright. Almost as though happiness was in it’s character. So under an old oak tree with limbs that were reaching high into the sky, years of growth and knowledge held with in those old beautiful branches, Katie & Paul said “I Do”. I do, to a life of love, support, respect, passion, and hope. While their family and friends stood and watched them promise their lives to each other, I prayed that the strength that helped that wonderful old tree stand the test of time, would in some way spread it’s way into their lives as well. It was just too surreal a moment not to pray such a thing. I love sweet moments like this, elopements are some of my favorite types of weddings to capture, because it is such a sweet quiet romantic love story that will remind any one of how much they can love.
Katie & Paul,
Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your beautiful story, your joy, and your love that shown like a shining star all around you. Paul, to you especially, thank you for those beautiful tears you shed as you said your I do. It takes a strong man with strong character to express the love that is overflowing in his heart, and you Sir, have a beautiful heart that I hope all who know you appreciates. Katie, you are one of the sweetest most beautiful woman I know, with an equally beautiful spirit, it is a quality rarely found these days. Hang on to that joy, for it truly is your strength. I wish you both the absolute best life has to bring and joy that will always carry you through. May your love get stronger each day and you hearts always be so in-tuned that you can hear with out speaking each others heart song.
Much love,
Suzy G
