The epically cool Louisiana Castle in Franklinton Louisiana was the gorgeous backdrop for Niki and Michael’s beautiful wedding day.  With it’s amazing brickwalls and vintage castle decor, it was the perfect venue to fit this amazing couple. From the time lord cuff links, to Niki’s amazing handmade paper flower bouquet, the day came together in stunning fashion.

Niki and Michael are one of those couples you just fall in love with. They have such fun bubbling joyful personalities that just captivate those around them, and they captivated me. I always look forward to the weddings I capture but some couples make it even more exciting by just being amazing. Niki honored her mom by wearing her ring and by saving a spot for her. She has a tattoo on her wrist of her mom’s handwriting that says love mom. There were moments I teared up……I couldn’t help but think what a beautiful thing as a mom to be so honored and cherished in memory. Even in the moments when memories brought a tear to the eye, Niki’s joy at marring her best friend and partner in fun shined through and Michael’s laughter and smile put everyone at ease.

The bridesmaids carried parasols in a bright vivid red. Michael’s sister stood with him as an honorary groomsmen. I love when my couples mix it up and make sure the ones they love stand by their sides. Not all traditions are meant to not be changed, sometimes change is a beautiful thing. The first look was so sweet and beautiful giving us time to get those gorgeous bride and groom portraits before the ceremony. What a beautiful day to be sure!!!
