Now you may be wondering why this word is so important that it gets a blog post dedicated just to it, but bear with me and you will see how it ties into the world of wedding photographers.
You learn the more weddings you shoot, that the number of images are far less important than the moments you capture, so you learn to watch. Carefully. You learn to anticipate a laugh before it happens, a tear before it falls, to read a reaction from a person before it actually happens. You learn to anticipate what is coming next, before it actually does. It makes for amazing images, happy clients, and a feeling of knowing those images will teach the next generation about their past. So here is why I am writing about anticipation:
I get ask quiet often why I do not use a lot of the cool modern day editing techniques that are seen right now.
Simple. I love my clients enough to do for them in post processing, what I do the day of the wedding. I anticipate. I know that in 30, 40, 50 years those images that are enhanced with modern day techniques will look dated, out of place, or just plain odd to the next generations, but a clean, well focused, sharp image will be the same today or 50 years later. A moment in time, captured, held, loved, and beautiful. While I do know how to do such edits, they are not my first choice. I have clients request them and I will do a second copy of an image with a styled edit, but I decided long ago that my job is not just to capture the wedding day, but the capture it in a way that it brings back the memories fresh and bright to my clients when they view them and it makes the future generations of their family feel like they are there.
So I anticipate for the future. It’s my job and I love it.

I am a Wedding & Lifestyle photographer, Spider hater, hot tea drinker, sarcasm loving, mom of two boys, and center of my sexy hubby’s world. I truly believe there is no better job than to capture the memories of the most special times in a client’s life. I believe in passion, in love, in forever lasting romance, in hope, in joy, and in laughing until you almost pee yourself, because laughter heals the heart. I believe the glass is half full…and even if it really is half empty, I’d rather not know. I choose a smile over a frown, tears of joy over tears of sorrow, and I believe that brokenness makes your stronger, not weaker, so take the negative life may throw your way, and turn it into the stepping block you need to climb higher in life, always keep yourself at the higher level instead of lowering yourself down to the level of others.
I service all of Louisiana including, Lake Charles, Sulphur, Westlake, Carlyss, Eunice, Alexandria, Shreveport, Lafayette, New Orleans, Monroe, and Natchitoches.
